Job summary

Vertex Resource Group Ltd. in Sarnia, ON, is seeking experienced Lease/Owner Operators. This role involves driving tank trucks, adhering to safety programs, and delivering materials to various customer sites across Ontario.

Candidates should have a valid Class 1 license and 2+ years of tank-hauled experience. The position requires flexibility for travel and varying workloads, with emphasis on safety, compliance, and timely paperwork.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 license with a clean abstract (current within 30 days).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience driving tank trucks (fluid hauling) desired.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate equipment in a safe and professional manner.
• Attend safety program by ensuring all company and customer policies & procedures are adhered to.
• Participation in toolbox talks and safety meetings, FLRA’s, hazard assessment development, pre-trips/post-trips.
• Work as a team with coworkers, contractors, and customers.
• Follow all local, provincial and federal compliance regulations and rules.
• Ensure safety certificate training is up to date.
• Perform maintenance on unit to ensure cleanliness and efficient operation.
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork and documentation within set timelines; this includes daily logs, waste manifests, etc.
• Travel to various customer sites and worksites; workloads vary with emergencies and busy periods.
• Ability to lift heavy tools and parts.
