Job summary

Vertex Resource Group Ltd. in Dawson Creek, BC is seeking a Class 1 Fluids Operator for full-time work at our Dawson Creek location. The role requires operating fluid-haul equipment and participating in safety programs to meet company and regulatory requirements.

Ideal candidates hold a valid Class 1 license with a clean driving record and have 2 years’ experience driving tank trucks; the job involves travel and operating Tri-Axle and Super B trucks as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 driver’s license with a clean driver abstract.
• 2 years’ experience driving tank trucks (fluid hauling) desired.
• Capable to operate Tri - Axle units and Super B trucks.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate equipment in a safe and professional manner.
• Participate in safety program by ensuring all company and customer policies & procedures are adhered to.
• Attendance and participation in toolbox talks and safety meetings, FLRA’s, hazard assessment development, pre-trips/post-trips.
• Willing to work as a team player with coworkers, contractors, and customers.
• Follow all local, provincial and federal compliance regulations and rules.
• Ensure all safety certificate training are up to date.
• Perform maintenance on units to ensure cleanliness and efficient operation.
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork and documentation properly within set timelines; this includes daily logs, waste manifests etc.
• Workload and schedules may vary depending on emergency situations and routine work that can be punctuated by very busy periods.
• Travel is required and driving will occur in all weather conditions to various customer and/or Vertex worksites.
• Ability to lift heavy tools and parts.
