Job summary

Vertex Resource Group Ltd. is seeking a Class 1 or 3 Operator for our Rentals Division in Whitecourt, AB. The role requires experience in plant environments and field work with valid safety tickets. The position is full-time and based in Whitecourt, Alberta.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 or 3 license with a clean record.
• Minimum 2 years of Combo-Vac and Roll Off Truck experience.
• Safety tickets include First Aid/CPR, CSTS, CSO, TDG, H2S Alive, Confined Space & Entry, and Ground Disturbance II.
• Commitment to environmental compliance and safe work practices.
• Ability to work independently while managing time and productivity.
• Must be in good health and physically able to perform duties.
• Integrity and reliability; willing to take after-hours calls when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to clients at all times.
• Comply with company policies, health and safety procedures, DOT and hazardous materials requirements.
• Perform maintenance on units to ensure cleanliness and efficient operation.
• Complete and maintain daily logs, dispatch and trip reports, and time sheets accurately.
• Follow local, provincial and federal compliance regulations and rules.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and report any inefficiencies to the Supervisor.
• Adhere to all company operating guidelines and safety procedures.
• Observe environmental health and safety guidelines.

Job description

Vertex is currently accepting applications for a full-time Class 1 or 3 Operator for our Rentals Division in our Whitecourt, AB location. The successful candidates must have experience working in plant environment and field and have valid oilfield safety tickets.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid Class 1 or 3 driver’s license highly desired with a clean commercial abstract
• Minimum 2 years of Combo-Vac and Roll Off Trucks, experience is an asset.
• Possess safety tickets including but not limited to First Aid/CPR, Construction Safety Training (CSTS), CSO, Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and H2S Alive, Confined Space & Entry, Ground Disturbance Level II.
• Demonstrate a commitment to environmental compliance and safe work practices
• Ability to work independently while managing time and productivity
• Must be in good health and physical condition to perform duties assigned
• Integrity and reliability, willing to accept after hour calls when necessary

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure customer and client satisfaction by providing excellent customer service at all times
• Comply with Company policies and procedures, health and safety procedures, Department of Transportation and hazardous materials/waste requirements and regulations
• Perform maintenance on units to ensure cleanliness and efficient operation
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork and documentation properly within set timelines; this includes daily logs, dispatch and trip reports and time sheets
• Follow all local, provincial and federal compliance regulations and rules
• Perform pre and post trip inspections, follow company policies and procedures for routine maintenance, perform general housekeeping to ensure units are operating properly and report any inefficiency to Supervisor
• Safely observe all company operating guidelines and procedures
• Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines
