Job summary

Vertex Resource Group Ltd. is seeking a Full Time Class 1 Operator in the Nisku, Alberta area. The ideal candidate has experience operating Semi-Vac, Combo-Vac and Straight-Vac equipment and a valid Class 1 license.

Local candidates from the Nisku area are preferred for close-to-home employment and a strong safety focus. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining vacuum units, completing paperwork, adhering to DOT and hazmat rules, and ensuring high levels of customer service and safety

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 driver’s license with a clean commercial driver’s abstract.
• Minimum of 1 year Class 1 driving experience.
• Minimum of 1 year within the oilfield experience.
• 1–2 years of experience operating Semi Vac’s, Combo Vac’s and Straight Vac’s.

Responsibilities

• Ensure customer and client satisfaction by providing excellent customer service at all times.
• Comply with company policies, health and safety procedures, DoT and hazmat requirements.
• Perform maintenance on units to ensure cleanliness and efficient operation.
• Complete and maintain required paperwork (daily logs, dispatch and trip reports, time sheets) within set timelines.
• Follow local, provincial and federal compliance regulations and rules.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and assist with routine maintenance and housekeeping.
• Observe all company operating guidelines and environmental health and safety practices.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure customer and client satisfaction by providing excellent customer service at all times
• Comply with Company policies and procedures, health and safety procedures, Department of Transportation and hazardous materials/waste requirements and regulations
• Perform maintenance on units to ensure cleanliness and efficient operation
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork and documentation properly within set timelines; this includes daily logs, dispatch and trip reports and time sheets
• Follow all local, provincial and federal compliance regulations and rules
• Perform pre and post trip inspections, follow company policies and procedures for routine maintenance, perform general housekeeping to ensure units are operating properly and report any inefficiency to Supervisor
• Safely observe all company operating guidelines and procedures
• Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines

Candidate Qualifications

• Drug & Alcohol Testing (Provided by Vertex)
• Valid Class 1 drivers license with a clean commercial drivers abstract
• Minimum of 1 year Class 1 driving experience
• Minimum of 1 year within the oilfield experience
• 1 - 2 years of experience operating Semi Vac's
• 1 - 2 years of experience operating Combo Vac's
• 1 - 2 years of experience operating Straight Vac's

• ELD logbook experience
• Possess H2S Alive, First Aid and CSO safety tickets
• Demonstrate a commitment to environmental compliance and safe work practices
• Ability to work independently while managing time and productivity
• Must be in good health and physical condition to perform duties assigned
• Integrity and reliability, willing to accept out of town work when applicable/necessary

Assets to Have

• High Pressure experience
• Possess CSTS 2020, Fall Protection and Confined Space Entry & Monitor safety tickets
