Job summary

Sodales Solutions, a SAP cloud learning partner, seeks an instructional designer to build and maintain engaging training for customers, partners, and internal teams in Toronto. The role focuses on translating complex product concepts into clear, learner-centered content across e-learning, instructor-led materials, videos, and guides.

You will collaborate with product and success teams to support launches, maintain LMS content, and measure learning impact in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Education, Instructional Design, Learning & Development, Business, Communications, Technology, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in instructional design, training development, learning & enablement, or related roles.
• Experience creating training content for software products, SaaS platforms, enterprise applications, or tech solutions.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, learner-focused content.
• Experience with authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, Captivate, Camtasia, or similar.
• Familiarity with LMS platforms, preferably SAP SuccessFactors Learning.
• Understanding of adult learning principles and evaluation techniques.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Managers, BAs, Solution Consultants and SMEs to understand product functionality and roadmaps.
• Translate requirements into engaging learning experiences for internal teams, partners, and customers.
• Design, develop, and maintain e-learning courses, instructor-led materials, videos, simulations, guides, and knowledge articles.
• Create structured learning paths and onboarding programs for consultants, customer support, and partners.
• Develop product certification programs, assessments, and knowledge checks.
• Support product launches with enablement materials and training resources.
• Manage training content in the LMS and keep materials current with releases.
• Assess learning needs and gather feedback to drive improvements.
• Lead virtual and in-person training sessions as needed.
• Monitor training effectiveness and provide recommendations for content enhancements.
• Ensure materials align with branding, instructional design best practices and adult learning principles.
• Assist customer adoption initiatives with scalable training resources.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Solution Consultants, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand product functionality, enhancements, and release roadmaps.
• Translate business and technical product requirements into engaging learning experiences for internal employees, partners, and customers.
• Design, develop, and maintain e-learning courses, instructor‑led training materials, videos, simulations, user guides, quick reference guides, and knowledge articles.
• Create structured learning paths and onboarding programs for consultants, customer support teams, implementation partners, and customers.
• Develop product certification programs, assessments, and knowledge checks to evaluate learner understanding and proficiency.
• Partner with Product and Customer Success teams to support new product launches by creating enablement materials and training programs.
• Manage and maintain training content within the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring materials remain current and aligned with product releases.
• Conduct needs assessments and gather stakeholder feedback to identify learning gaps and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Facilitate virtual and instructor‑led training sessions as required for employees, customers, and partners.
• Monitor training effectiveness through learner feedback, assessment results, and learning analytics, making recommendations for content enhancements.
• Ensure all training materials adhere to company branding, instructional design best practices, and adult learning principles.
• Support customer adoption initiatives by creating scalable training resources that improve product knowledge and user engagement.

• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), preferably SAP SuccessFactors Learning.
• Understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and learning evaluation techniques.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Experience working in Agile product environments and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
• Knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP S/4HANA, or SAP Ariba is considered a strong asset.

Preferred Skills

• Experience developing customer‑facing education programs and certification pathways.
• Familiarity with video creation, screen recording, and multimedia learning content development.
