RBC Dominion Securities in Montréal seeks a Learning and Development Specialist to design and deliver training that empowers new assistants and associates to excel in their roles. You will lead the Montreal Admin/Associate Fundamentals program, adapt to hiring needs, and collaborate to create consistent materials across regions.

You will measure impact, deliver engaging in-person and virtual sessions, and provide post-program coaching while staying aligned with evolving industry trends and RBC

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of advisory team experience with wealth management products and client needs.
  • Bilingual English and French; you will regularly work with RBC partners across Canada.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities for training sessions.
  • Collaborative mindset with ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Client-focused with a commitment to service excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver the Montreal Admin/Associate Fundamentals program (≈8 sessions per year).
  • Collaborate with peers to create shared curricula and training materials.
  • Measure program impact through feedback and data; drive improvements.
  • Deliver in-person and virtual training on core processes and business context.
  • Provide post-program coaching and behavioral assessments to reinforce learning.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and update training materials accordingly.
  • Build partnerships with Branch Managers, Operations teams, and Head Office.
  • Coordinate training logistics (invitations, venues, materials) with precision.

Join RBC as a Learning and Development Specialist and play a pivotal role in cultivating the next generation of talent! In this dynamic role, you will deliver and innovate training programs that empower new RBC Dominion Securities (RBC DS) assistants and associates to excel in their roles. Through immersive, multi-format learning experiences, you will drive efficiency, elevate client service, and foster long-term success—all while championing a culture of continuous growth and collaboration.

What will you do?
  • Lead and Innovate Training Programs: Own and deliver the Montreal Admin/Associate Fundamentals program (approximately 8 sessions annually), adapting to hiring needs and business priorities.
  • Collaborate for Impact: Partner with peers to develop shared curricula and training materials, ensuring consistency and best practices across regions.
  • Measure and Improve: Track program effectiveness through feedback and data, driving continuous enhancements for maximum impact.
  • Engage and Inspire: Deliver dynamic in-person and virtual training on core processes, operational best practices, and business context.
  • Coach for Success: Provide post-program coaching and behavioral assessments to reinforce learning and drive performance.
  • Stay Ahead of the Curve: Update training materials to reflect evolving industry trends, policies, and organizational changes.
  • Build Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate with Branch Managers, Operations teams, and Head Office to align training goals and share expertise.
  • Manage Logistics Seamlessly: Coordinate training logistics (invitations, venues, materials) with precision and professionalism.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
  • 2+ years of experience working on an advisory team, with solid knowledge of wealth management products, operations, and client needs.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly do business with RBC partners and/or employees across Canada with English and French speaking needs.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with confidence in facilitating group training sessions.
  • Collaborative mindset: A proven ability to build trust, influence stakeholders, and act as a subject matter expert.
  • Client-centric approach: A relentless focus on delivering excellence in service and support.
Nice-to-have

  • Previous training/coaching experience.
  • CSC and CPH or CIRE, an asset.
