Job summary

RBC Dominion Securities of Montreal seeks a resourceful Associate to support an advisory team in managing client accounts and providing exceptional service. You will maintain portfolios, handle documentation, and coordinate meetings with clients and advisors in a fast-paced wealth management environment.

Your role focuses on accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely communication, while progressively contributing to client retention and growth within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in the securities industry.
• CIRE certification is required (or in progress).
• Bilingual English and French language skills are required for client service across Canada.

Responsibilities

• Maintain existing client accounts and manage timelines and key dates.
• Respond to client inquiries regarding account transactions, documentation and reporting.
• Provide proactive client service and liaise with multiple departments for timely solutions.
• Manage communications from clients, advisors and external partners.
• Assist advisory team in welcoming and onboarding new clients.
• Coordinate meetings for advisors with clients/prospects.
• Ensure client files and documentation are accurate, up-to-date and compliant with internal controls.
• Update the team’s communication channels (websites, LinkedIn, Facebook, brochures, newsletters).

The RBC Dominion Securities Place Ville Marie branch is looking for a resourceful, efficient, and collaborative individual to join our leading wealth management firm as an Associate.

By providing ongoing, exceptional service and support to our clients and our advisory team, you will help our team deepen existing relationships and welcome new clients to the firm. As an invaluable internal and external point of contact, you will play a key role in maintaining client accounts, ensuring account administration and documentation remain up to date and compliant, and working with an Investment Advisor in managing client portfolios and wealth management planning opportunities.

What will you do?

• Maintain existing client accounts and identify opportunities to contact clients. You will be responsible for managing timelines and key dates for accounts to help ensure clients feel supported by our team.
• Respond to client inquiries in an understanding and time-efficient manner (account transactions, requests, account documentation, account reporting, etc.).
• Tap into your superior problem resolution skills to provide proactive client service. Working collaboratively, you will at times liaise with various departments to provide smooth and timely solutions.
• Effectively manage incoming communications from clients, advisors and other internal and external partners.
• Assist the advisory team in welcoming and onboarding new clients.
• Leverage your passion for planning to coordinate and prepare meetings for advisors with their clients/prospects.
• Become well-versed in internal controls and industry regulatory requirements, ensuring client files and other necessary documentation are accurate, up to date, and compliant.
• Draw on your social media skills to update the team’s communication channels, including websites, LinkedIn, Facebook, brochures, newsletters.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam (CIRE)
• Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly serve our clients and do business with RBC partners and/or employees across Canada with English and French speaking needs
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the securities industry
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Meticulous attention to detail and excellent time management skills
• Demonstrated skills in providing world-class client service that will come across as professional, warm, and friendly to our clients
