Job summary

Suncor is seeking a Learning Advisor to support Fort Hills Mine Site. You’ll partner with clients to identify training gaps, design solutions, and lead high-impact projects that shape how teams grow and succeed.

This role requires strong change management skills, excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, and a disciplined approach to continuous improvement. The position is camp-based with FIFO from Calgary/Edmonton.

Qualifications

• 4 years of applicable work experience.
• Post secondary education that compliments the requirements of the role.
• Ability to support change management and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills with the ability to work independently.
• Solid understanding of project management methodologies and processes.
• Working knowledge of business financials.
• Self-starter with strong attention to detail, able to take initiative and ensure accuracy in all aspects of work.
• Strong facilitation skills required to support productive, inclusive discussions and clear outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex issues with sound judgment
• Partner with clients to translate operational requirements into learning solutions
• Identify training gaps across business units and develop solutions to fix them
• Lead special projects requiring strong analytical, research, and leadership skills
• Develop detailed documentation requiring expert knowledge of specialized processes and procedures
• Develop and recommend regulatory compliance strategies at the regional or business unit level

Location and other key details:

• You will work out of our camp-based Fort Hills mining site,locatedin Alberta’s Athabasca region, 90 kilometres north of Fort McMurray, Alberta




• This is a Fly-in/Fly-out (FIFO) camp-based position; you will FIFO from a Suncor hub location: Calgary/Edmonton

• The shift schedule is a 7 days on / 7 days off rotation
