Job summary

Suncor Energy Inc. is seeking a Learning Advisor to support our Fort Hills Mine Site in Alberta.

You will partner with clients to identify training gaps, design strategic learning solutions, lead high-impact projects, and influence regulatory compliance and continuous improvement initiatives. This Fly-in/Fly-out camp-based role requires independent thinking, strong facilitation, for cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to manage complex programs across business units.

Qualifications

  • 4 years of applicable work experience.
  • Post-secondary education that complements the requirements of the role.
  • Ability to support change management and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies and processes.
  • Working knowledge of business financials.
  • Self-starter with strong attention to detail and initiative.
  • Strong facilitation skills to support productive discussions and clear outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality specialized service, support, and advice
  • Resolve complex issues with sound judgment
  • Partner with clients to translate operational requirements into learning solutions
  • Identify training gaps across business units and develop solutions
  • Lead special projects requiring strong analytical, research, and leadership skills
  • Develop detailed documentation requiring expert knowledge of specialized processes and procedures
  • Develop and recommend regulatory compliance strategies at the regional or business unit level

Minimum Requirements:
  • 4 years of applicable work experience

Location and other key details:

You will work out of our camp-based Fort Hills mining site, located in Alberta’s Athabasca region, 90 kilometres north of Fort McMurray, Alberta. This is a Fly-in/Fly-out (FIFO) camp-based position; you will FIFO from a Suncor hub location: Calgary/Edmonton. The shift schedule is a 7 days on / 7 days off rotation. Think we are a fit?
