Job summary

Suncor Energy is hiring a Learning Advisor to support our Fort Hills Mine Site in Alberta. The role focuses on identifying training gaps, designing strategic learning solutions, and guiding teams through change and regulatory compliance initiatives.

Based at a camp-based site north of Fort McMurray with a 7 days on/7 days off rotation, you will partner with clients to develop impactful learning programs and lead cross-functional projects in a remote setting.

Qualifications

• 4 years of applicable work experience
• Post secondary education that compliments the requirements of the role
• Ability to support change management and continuous improvement initiatives
• Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills with the ability to work independently
• Solid understanding of project management methodologies and processes
• Working knowledge of business financials
• Self-starter with strong attention to detail, able to take initiative and ensure accuracy in all aspects of work
• Strong facilitation skills required to support productive, inclusive discussions and clear outcomes

• Deliver high-quality specialized service, support, and advice
• Resolve complex issues with sound judgment
• Partner with clients to translate operational requirements into learning solutions
• Identify training gaps across business units and develop solutions to fix them
• Lead special projects requiring strong analytical, research, and leadership skills
• Develop detailed documentation requiring expert knowledge of specialized processes and procedures
• Develop and recommend regulatory compliance strategies at the regional or business unit level

Location and other key details:

• You will work out of our camp-based Fort Hills mining site, located in Alberta’s Athabasca region, 90 kilometres north of Fort McMurray, Alberta

• This is a Fly-in/Fly-out (FIFO) camp-based position; you will FIFO from a Suncor hub location: Calgary/Edmonton

• The shift schedule is a 7 days on / 7 days off rotation
