The Leader, Solutions Engineering, will serve as a player-coach, balancing leadership with individual contributions. You will lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team while actively engaging in squad work. Your main focus will be to bridge product teams, marketing, business development, and client relationships, fostering collaboration to deliver exceptional solutions and drive revenue.

Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the strategic vision for the solutions engineering team, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  2. Team Development & Innovation: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Encourage creative problem-solving for cutting-edge client solutions.
  3. Talent & Performance Management: Recruit, onboard, and retain top talent. Provide ongoing training, set performance expectations, conduct reviews, and give feedback.
  4. Stakeholder & Client Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with clients, product marketing, teams, and senior management. Advocate for customers by sharing insights with product and marketing teams.
  5. Solution Development & Sales Enablement: Drive solutioning during sales, pitch cross-product use cases, and support clients with training and demonstrations.
  6. Pre-Sales & Post-Integration Support: Engage with Product Owners to explore opportunities, craft proposals, and create supporting materials. Ensure solutions meet client needs.
  7. Partner Integration & Technical Consultation: Act as SME on partner projects, ensuring smooth integration from exploration to implementation.
  8. Continuous Improvement: Optimize processes, tools, and methodologies for team efficiency.
  9. Resource Allocation: Manage resources effectively to meet objectives and deliver quality solutions.
  10. Tracking & Reporting: Monitor pipeline opportunities using CRM tools, support proofs of concept, and provide data-driven insights.
  11. Industry Awareness: Stay informed on industry trends and provide strategic recommendations.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years experience in payment industry or as a Solutions Engineer, with technical consulting/support skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, or related field.
  • Eligibility to work in Canada for Interac in a full-time capacity.
  • Proven leadership and team development experience.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and foster relationships.
  • Track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives.
