Job description

The Team Lead for Digital Solution Engineering is responsible for architecting and driving changes within the software development team to align with business objectives. This role grants creative control and positions the individual as the primary resource for planning, coordinating, directing, and designing coding changes to internally developed applications. The Team Lead will manage research and development team members, collaborate with business stakeholders, oversee incoming changes, and define IT policies, procedures, and best practices related to web application development and associated technologies.

Responsibilities

1. Lead and mentor the development team, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
2. Develop and maintain web applications and APIs using cloud, frontend, and backend technologies.
3. Drive improvements in the development process.
4. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to web applications, Azure services, and infrastructure.
5. Collaborate with R&D and Product teams to deliver complete solutions.
6. Serve as the first point of contact for technical support issues.
7. Gather requirements from key business users and create technical documents/blueprints.
8. Develop and architect APIs.
9. Write concise, efficient, reusable, testable code and assist in solution architecture and implementation.
10. Identify opportunities for cost optimization, scalability, and performance improvements.
11. Select appropriate Azure services and components for building and deploying solutions.
12. Design security measures and policies to protect Azure resources and data.
13. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
14. Implement high availability and disaster recovery strategies.
15. Design data storage and management solutions, including data backup and retention policies.
16. Set up monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to track the health and performance of web applications and APIs.
17. Continuously optimize resource utilization and cost management.
18. Create deployment pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
19. Educate team members and end-users on best practices and usage.
20. Maintain documentation for architecture, configurations, and processes.
21. Act as the primary point of contact for audit-related activities and support internal and external audits.
22. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.

Qualifications, Experience and Educational Requirements

Work Experience:

1. 10+ years experience as a developer.
2. Prior experience in technical leadership.
3. Experience in:

• Java
• Angular / Angular JS
• Jakarta EE
• Rest API
• Hibernate
• Tomcat Server
• MSSQL Server 2016 +
• T-SQL/Stored Procedures
• Swift 2 / 3
• Kotlin
• Yarn / Bower

3+ Years experience in cloud technology especially Microsoft Azure.

Knowledge of Cloud technologies: AWS / GCP / Azure.

Knowledge of No SQL Database like Mongo DB, Elastic search is nice to have.

Experience implementing Test-driven development, Automating testing and load testing.

Experience in implementing Code Coverage, Artifact Repositories, multiple concurrent source code branches (SVN / GIT).

Experience in high security, high volume software design.

Experience in Restful API service design and implementation.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a Related Technical Degree.

Working Conditions

Office Setting. Sitting for extended periods of time. Must be willing to travel to our regional offices, global production sites to provide support and coverage.
