Job summary

Bombardier Aviation is seeking an Operations Leader for the Day Shift to guide a skilled team responsible for delivering critical parts for manufacturing sites and aircraft in service. You will drive process standardization and lean initiatives to meet production objectives.

You will coach staff, ensure safety and quality, and actively pursue knowledge sharing to optimize performance across shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally aerospace.
• Strong management and communication skills, bilingual is a plus.
• Knowledge of value-added production and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead an engaged team to deliver critical parts for manufacturing sites and aircraft in service.
• Identify, document, and standardize key processes to achieve objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement and apply operational excellence concepts.
• Establish and monitor production objectives and coach the team.
• Conduct floor walks and address Health & Safety, Quality, Productivity, and cost drivers.

What are your contributions to the team?

Operations Leader - Day Shift

• Exert leadership skills while respecting the vision and values of Bombardier Aviation
• Lead an engaged and experienced team towards delivery of critical parts supporting our manufacturing sites, our assembly lines and our aircraft in service
• Identify, document, and standardize key processes leading to the achievement of objectives
• Ensure continuous improvement, notably with the application of operational excellence concepts and problem resolution process
• Establish and control the achievement of production objectives
• Coach his team in order to develop their talent in the organization
• Optimize the sharing of knowledge and best practices throughout the organization
• Conduct a minimum of three (3) floor walks per shift to monitor and support employees under your supervision.
• Identify deviations and address issues related to Health & Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost performance drivers.

How to thrive in this role?

As our ideal candidate,

• You hold a college diploma or university degree in Aerospace, engineering or manufacturing management or equivalent experience that have allowed you to develop strong management skills
• You have experience in management in a manufacturing environment (aerospace environment is an advantage)
• You hold strong communication skills in French language (bilingualism is an advantage)
• You have a good understanding of the principles of value-added production
• You have strong communication skills
• You have extraordinary flexibility and are passionate about non-recurring work activities
• You have aptitude to plan and organize to ensure the attainment of results
