Job summary

Bombardier in Quebec is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead a weekend shift and manage a unionized team of about 25 employees in our aerospace operations. You will oversee daily operations, monitor productivity, quality, safety, and drive continuous improvement.

Ideal candidates bring a college or university degree in aeronautics, engineering, or operations management, at least five years in supervisory roles, strong planning and leadership, and bilingual ability.

Qualifications

• College or university degree in aeronautics, engineering, operations management or a related field.
• Five (5) years of supervisory experience in a unionized manufacturing environment.
• Strong planning and organizational skills to ensure results are achieved.
• Managerial courage when managing personnel.
• Available, flexible and motivated by a stimulating and changing environment.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Bilingual.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the weekend shift, 12 hours per day, Friday to Sunday.
• Plan and supervise the activities and management of a team of ~25 unionized employees.
• Be responsible for operational processes by achieving and monitoring objectives.
• Plan daily operations and follow up on them.
• Report and analyze indicators related to productivity, quality, health and safety, absenteeism, etc.
• Resolve problems in an efficient and timely manner.
• Maintain communication with other departments for any issue in the sector.
• Promote continuous improvement using operational excellence concepts and problem-solving processes.
• Train employees, evaluate performance and progress.
• Promote a work environment based on engagement, teamwork, and open communication.
