Job summary

Bombardier in Quebec seeks an experienced operations supervisor to lead a day-shift team of about 25 unionized employees and manage production processes to meet objectives. You will report on productivity and safety, coordinate with other departments, and guide continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires a college or university degree in aeronautics, engineering, or operations management and at least five years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, with bilingual English/French

• Minimum of five years of supervisory experience in a unionized manufacturing environment.
• Strong planning, organizational and communication skills.
• Bilingual in English and French.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise the activities and management of a team of approximately 25 unionized employees.
• Be responsible for the operational processes of the sector by achieving and monitoring the production objectives.
• Report and analyze indicators related to productivity, quality, health and safety, absenteeism, etc.
• Resolve problems in an efficient and timely manner while maintaining cross-department communication.
• Promote continuous improvement through operational excellence concepts and problem solving.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Work on the day shift from Monday to Friday.
• Plan and supervise the activities and management of a team of approximately 25 unionized employees.
• Be responsible for the operational processes of your sector by achieving and monitoring the production objectives.
• Plan the daily operations of his sector and follow up on them.
• Report and analyze various indicators related to productivity, quality, health and safety, absenteeism, etc.
• Resolve problems in an efficient and timely manner.
• Maintain communication with other departments for any issue related to his sector.
• Ensure continuous improvement through the use of operational excellence concepts and the problem solving process.
• Ensure the training of its employees, evaluate their performance and their progress.
• Promote a work environment based on teamwork and open communication.
