Job summary

Kal Tire currently seeks a Dispatcher, Transportation based in Kamloops, BC, with flexibility for Edmonton or other BC locations. You will supervise trucking operations, plan driver dispatch, assign loads, and ensure accurate processing and on-time delivery across multiple sites.

You will lead a team, use Microsoft D365 for outbound routes, maintain safety standards, and drive continuous improvement in transportation efficiency.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years' dispatch experience.
Strong background in transportation; preference for class 1 driving or supervision of class 1 drivers.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day direction and control of trucking operations for timely shipments.
Plan drivers' dispatch and route loads using D365.
Ensure outbound loads are planned daily; coordinate with warehouse.
Supervise fleet movements between yard, docks and storage.
Monitor weights/capacities and adjust with warehouse as needed.
Implement performance metrics for transportation processes.
Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and on-time delivery standards.
Collaborate with other locations to maximize equipment utilization.
