POSITION SUMMARY

As a member of the Professional Services team, you will help to define, manage, and deliver innovative and inspiring solutions for a range of organizations including many of North America’s top companies. Working with us as a Lead Technology Business Analyst means you’ll:

1. Manage and define the reactive and proactive processes and activities required to design, implement, maintain, and improve technology solutions.
2. Have experience in defining Functional Specs and understanding relationship diagrams associated with one of the following functional areas: Risk, Capital Markets, and Retail Banking.
3. Oversee the work package deliverable in a Program and ensure alignment with the Program Manager.
4. Understand business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements, and recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.
5. Ensure business objectives are identified, understood, and accounted for in the development of technology solutions. Confirm the technology solution meets the business needs.
6. Initiate and lead Service Projects; manage business-as-usual and ad hoc activities to improve service and/or reduce cost.
7. Work with Professional Services and Sales team in the translation of requirements into test cases and ensure application architecture and systems functionality meet business requirements.
8. Monitor and track budget changes.
9. Work with various areas throughout the organization, determining needs for new functionality for custom solutions.
10. Work with others to research, evaluate, and document business/user/functional requirements, as well as manage the design, testing, and implementation of technological solutions that enhance the value of the company's products and business systems.
11. Utilize various elicitation and modeling techniques to identify, interpret, and define specific business requirements.
12. Coordinate analysis and alignment of stakeholders' requirement needs and facilitate requirements prioritization.
13. Influence stakeholders that cross multiple functionalities for process development, implementation, and support.
14. Drive creation of process requirements, functional requirements, and validation of solutions.
15. Manage testing and process rollouts for complex or multiple consulting opportunities.
16. Provide highest-level technical leadership and subject matter expertise in one or more technologies.
17. Manage and allocate resources to multiple projects, dealing with issues and escalating as appropriate.
18. Ensure use of requirements traceability principles and change control processes in execution of daily responsibilities.
19. Interact with stakeholders (possibly international), team members, and management within or across organizations for the purpose of communication, collaboration, and influencing.
20. Design and implement process & tool improvements ensuring documented requirements meet quality standards.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

1. Bachelor's Degree required, Master's preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years total work experience with at least 2 years as a business analyst.
3. Excellent analytical, conceptual and data interpretation skills.
4. Excellent personal engagement skills (written and oral).
5. Demonstrated technical and business acumen.
6. Expert in one or more process management tools such as: Visio, MS Project.
7. Ability to work with subject matter experts to produce process diagrams and workflows.
8. Ability to analyze existing processes and recommend improvements, including designing and developing new processes.
9. Ability to develop solid business case analysis.
10. Strong planning, time management, and organizational skills.
11. Intermediate in MS Office tools.
12. Excellent conceptual and analytic skills.
13. Effective communicator at all levels, excellent inter-personal skills, strong business focus.
14. Oracle or other relational database experience.
15. Data capture, curation, and reporting experience.
16. Data modeling and analysis.
17. Design and development of end-to-end technical solutions.
