Canal District in Sault Ste. Marie is seeking a skilled Sous Chef to join the culinary team at The Machine Shop, a vibrant waterfront venue.

This role is designed for a motivated culinary leader who excels in a dynamic environment, enhancing guest experiences across multiple food service operations. The successful candidate will assist the Executive Chef in daily operations, oversee kitchen staff, and ensure the highest quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of culinary leadership experience in a restaurant, hotel, catering, or banquet environment.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and inventory management.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations.
• Lead and supervise kitchen staff during service periods.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
