Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Software Development Manager to lead a high-impact Prime program. You will shape product architecture and vision, combining technical excellence with business impact at scale.

You will guide teams across Amazon, drive data-driven decisions, and collaborate with partners to deliver extensible experiences for Prime members worldwide. You will work with modern technologies, tackle greenfield and established systems, and help integrate ML-driven messaging and optimization.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years working directly within engineering teams experience.
• 3+ years designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience.
• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations.
• Experience partnering with product and program management teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the technical team to deliver on goals.
• Engage with partners, decompose requirements into technical plans across multiple teams.
• Define user stories and evaluate technical solutions to meet business requirements.
• Represent the technical team to senior leadership across the company.
