Job summary

Clark Builders is seeking a Superintendent in Calgary to lead all aspects of the construction site, ensuring safety, schedule, and budget alignment while delivering an excellent client experience. The role reports to the General Superintendent and involves coordinating with the project team through all construction phases.

You will champion safety programs, manage on-site teams, review plans for constructability, and support project forecasts and financials.

Qualifications

• 5+ years superintendent/relevant project site leadership experience (on-site experience mandatory).
• Journeyman trade certificate or relevant post-secondary education.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
• Knowledge of all Prime Contract and subcontract documents, drawings, specifications, and relevant key drivers.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of Clark Builders Safety / Building LIFE program on site.
• Ensure safety management and compliance with applicable legislation.
• Partner with Senior Project Leader to deliver project on safety, schedule, budget, and client satisfaction.
• Lead teams through all construction phases from preconstruction to closeout.
• Plan and review construction program with Project Manager and staff; manage procedures, facilities, equipment, and manpower.
• Champion LEED and Last Planner strategies to improve efficiency.
• Manage employee performance and recruitment support.
• Interact with Field Operations and other departments for project success.
• Support Project Manager in forecasts and financials; participate in month-end reviews.
• Plan field trade meetings and review plans and documentation for constructability.
