Job summary

AMD, a leader in high-performance computing, is seeking a Silicon Design Engineer in Markham, ON to lead front-end IP design and mentor a team across verification, implementation and physical design. You will contribute to next-generation accelerators powering servers, data centers, client and embedded markets, including encryption,VM live migration, and AI workloads.

The role emphasizes strong execution, problem-solving and clear communication in a global, hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Strong ASIC design background with leadership in silicon projects.
• Ability to mentor design engineers and drive team goals.
• Experience with end-to-end design flows including verification and tape-out.

Responsibilities

• Own major portions of design and implementation to meet timing, area, and power targets.
• Collaborate with architecture teams to understand requirements.
• Lead and mentor other design engineers to achieve project goals.
• Coordinate with verification, implementation, and physical design teams for high-quality tape-outs.
• Contribute in cross-functional teams to solve complex design challenges.
• Support post-silicon bring-up and field issues.
• Present status updates in weekly/bi-weekly meetings.
