Job summary

Norfolk County’s Norview Lodge seeks a Registered Practical Nurse to provide resident-centered care, including assessments, medications and treatments, while guiding care staff. Your work will enhance residents’ health, comfort and dignity through safe, person-centred care.

Position: Permanent Part Time, up to 24 hours per week, located in Simcoe, ON. Requires current Ontario RPN license, BCLS, and strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Registered Practical Nurse with a current Certificate of Competence (Ontario).
• Experience in long-term care is an asset.
• Knowledge of infection control and health-safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead non-regulated nursing staff and provide resident-centered care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with residents, families, physicians and care teams.
• Orientate new staff and participate in education opportunities.
• Adhere to infection control policies and safety regulations.
