Job summary

Responsive Health Management Inc. is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) for casual shifts at Niagara-on-the-Lake Long Term Care Residence in Ontario. You will lead nursing care, complete assessments, and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure dignity and quality of life for residents.

The role requires current CNO registration as an RPN, CPR/BLS, and compliance with FLTCA guidelines. Starting wage is $33.36/hour with flexible scheduling and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Current General Class registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN)
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Vulnerable Sector Check within six months or willingness to obtain
• TB testing results within six months or chest X-ray as per Public Health requirements
• Two supervisory references required
• Vaccination requirements up to date per employer policy
• Willingness to complete interRAI training within one year

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, person-centered nursing care aligned with residents' rights
• Complete nursing assessments and adjust care plans in collaboration with the care team
• Communicate changes in resident status to residents/SDMs and ensure follow-up
• Maintain documentation per CNO standards and home policies
• Administer medications and treatments safely per pharmacy procedures
• Identify medication errors and participate in learning and prevention
• Support IPAC practices and safety programs
• Collaborate with PSWs and interdisciplinary team
• Support resident/family experience and service recovery actions
• Participate in audits, quality initiatives, and accreditation readiness
