Huawei Canada is seeking a Graphics Engineer - 3D for a 12-month contract to drive rendering system development and to mentor engineers within the Graphics Technology Lab. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in C/C++, hands-on real-time rendering experience, and proficiency with Vulkan/OpenGL/DirectX, plus familiarity with UE or Unity.

Qualifications

  • Solid programming skills in C/C++ (2+ years) and real-time graphics experience.
  • Hands-on development of real-time rendering features and graphics pipelines.
  • Experience with Vulkan, OpenGL or DirectX APIs.
  • Experience with game engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in CS, EE or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Inspire and mentor developers and bring vast knowledge to the group.
  • Independently lead the development of rendering systems and areas of R&D.
  • Mentor younger team members and provide professional guidance and expertise.
  • Deep insight into rendering technologies, shaders, and current research.
  • Develop, debug and optimize key features for the rendering engine and maintain competitiveness.
  • Lead close collaboration with internal R&D divisions.
