The Town of Oakville is seeking a Preschool Instructor to coordinate and deliver a comprehensive, age-appropriate recreational play program for preschool participants. The role ensures a safe environment and supports families through engaging activities.

Responsibilities include daily activity planning, staff collaboration, safety oversight, emergency response, and accurate record-keeping, with a focus on inclusion, development, and positive customer service.

Competenze

• ECE diploma or equivalent education in early childhood education.
• Recreation or sports-related coursework is an asset.
• 2–4 years of leadership experience in daycare or recreation settings.
• 1–2 years of volunteer preschool/educational experience.

Mansioni

• Deliver a safe, age-appropriate, inclusive daily program for preschool participants.
• Prepare weekly activity plans for approval and distribution to participants.
• Collaborate with staff to create and deliver an optimal program.
• Maintain safety for all participants and respond to emergencies per procedures.
• Manage attendance, registrations, and incident records as required.
• Support parents/guardians and assist with other programs as needed.
• Attend mandatory staff training and adhere to policy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
