Job summary

Stage Windows & Doors in Vaughan seeks an experienced Lead Hand – Paint Department to lead daily paint operations, coordinate employees, maintain production flow, and ensure painted products meet quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with industrial spray painting and leading a production team.

The role offers on-site, full-time work with opportunities to develop skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and advance within the company.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of industrial painting experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with spray painting and industrial paint equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate daily Paint Department work.
  • Assign tasks and ensure priorities meet deadlines.
  • Oversee surface prep, spraying, curing, and finishing.
  • Set up spray guns and paint equipment.
  • Inspect colour, coverage, and overall quality.
  • Identify and correct paint defects.
  • Train staff on painting methods and safety.
  • Maintain PPE compliance and safe work practices.
  • Keep equipment and work areas clean and maintained.
  • Monitor supplies and report shortages.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance to resolve issues.
  • Support continuous improvement and reduce waste.
