Job summary

TG Minto Palmerston in Palmerston, Ontario seeks Lead Operators to support production of high quality parts in a Just-in-time environment. This role offers growth opportunities by working in multiple production departments, with an exciting and dynamic team.

Starting wages are $20.55/hr with a $1 premium, plus overtime after 40 hours per week. Shift premiums vary by shift, plus paint booth premiums. Excellent benefits start from day one, including medical and dental coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or aptitude test is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow work instructions to produce and verify conformance to quality standards.
• Meet hourly quotas.
• Document daily production.
• Operate paint booths and know all stations.
• Ability to be cross trained in many areas, tasks and/or machinery.
• Ability to train PTMs in the absence of the Leader Tech.
• Understand and follow the Kanban system.
• Work in a safe manner within Health and Safety guidelines.
• Maintain 5S in all assigned areas.

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting wages of $20.55/hr with $1 premium

• Shift Premiums ranging from +$0.40 to +$0.65 (Afternoon Shift) & +$1.00 (Night Shift)
• Paint Booth Premiums +$0.50 (in addition to Shift Premiums)

Requirements:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) ispreferred–or—successful completion of an aptitude test
• You must be able to bend, reach, lift and perform the other physical requirements of the job. Accommodations can be made.
• Must be able to adhere PPE requirements (For Respirator fitness - clean shave of facial hair mandatory for adherence
• Experience in Paint Booths is considered an asset.

If all other factors equal seniority will be used

Straight Shift Timing onDay Shift(6:00AM-2:30AM) but may be required to change shifts in order to accommodate production requirements.
