Job summary

ARAMARK Remote Workplace Services, in partnership with Moose Cree group of companies, is hiring for Lead 1st Cooks for a remote lodge near Timmins, ON. The 1st Cook will prepare food following standard recipes and production guidelines while adhering to food safety, sanitation, and safety procedures.

The role includes supervising kitchen staff, planning schedules, training, and ensuring timely service. Rotation is 14 days on/14 days off; transportation to Timmins or Cochrane is provided;

Qualifications

• Previous supervisor experience in a related role preferred.
• Experience as a cook or related role required.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision required.
• Proven knowledge of basic food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and assigns daily work activities to staff and supervises completion of tasks.
• Trains and guides staff on duties, safety and sanitation procedures.
• Cooks and prepares food following recipes and production guidelines.
• Sets up workstation with ingredients and equipment; prepares ingredients.
• Safely uses knives and operates ovens, stoves, and other equipment.
• Cooks using varied methods and portions; garnishes and portions food.
• Stores food properly and maintains clean work areas.
• Maintains excellent customer service and safety compliance.
