Job summary

ARAMARK Remote Workplace Services invites applications for a 2nd Cook at a remote lodge near Timmins, ON. The role focuses on cooking per recipes and production guidelines while adhering to strict food safety and sanitation procedures.

You will handle various equipment safely and support guests with excellent service. Transportation to Timmins or Cochrane is provided, with travel allowances for distant sites, 14 days on-site and 14 off-site rotations.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role is required.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of foods according to recipes and production guidelines.
• Set up workstation with needed ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling.
• Safely use knives and cooking equipment.
• Operate ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, and other appliances.
• Bake, roast, broil, steam and use various cooking methods.
• Arrange, garnish, and portion food per guidelines.
• Store food properly following safety policies and sanitation.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Maintain friendly customer service with guests and colleagues.
