Stantec in Ottawa is seeking a Senior Land Development Project Manager to lead residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional development projects. You will oversee design, budgeting, scheduling, and client relations from concept through completion.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, P.Eng registration, and 10+ years in consulting. Strong leadership, communication, and AutoCAD/Civil3D skills are essential, with a focus on delivering multi-disciplinary projects in Ottawa and

Qualifications

Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university program.
Registered as a Professional Engineer.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in consulting engineering and project management.

Responsibilities

Undertaking marketing efforts, and business development pursuits, including lead development, proposal preparation, presentations, relationship and client management.
Developing project scope, budgets, and design approach for all size projects.
Project Management, including control and management of the financial aspects of your projects.
Leading or independently preparing preliminary, functional and detailed design drawings, analysis and reports for site servicing, grading, stormwater management and erosion and sediment control for development projects.
Contributing technical direction, design review and detailed design expertise on numerous simultaneous land development files and stamping final drawings.
Supervision and mentoring of project engineers, technologists and other staff.
Liaising with clients, municipalities and approval agencies to assist in obtaining project approvals.
Undertaking a variety of project coordination tasks, including liaising with a variety of other design disciplines.
Leading client project meetings, value analysis, and basic cost estimating.
Working with Construction Administration team to support tender preparation and undertake occasional field inspections.
Engages in the development of a design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats.
Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
