Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Land Development Project Manager to independently and collaboratively deliver complex development projects in Red Deer, AB. You will oversee design, construction, proposals, and client satisfaction while guiding teams through planning to execution.

The role emphasizes coordination across site grading, utility servicing, and stormwater management, with heavy client contact and a focus on cost-effective, timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of land development, including site grading, water/sewer, and stormwater.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to coordinate engineering with planning and landscape architecture.
• Team-oriented with collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead approval of engineering drawings for residential, industrial, and commercial sites.
• Technical review and stamping of design drawings; stamping preferred.
• Prepare construction specs and tender documents; administer contracts.
• Provide internal peer review of designs by others.
• Guide projects from concept to post-construction, ensuring on-time delivery.
• Input to Area Structure Plans and Rezoning/Subdivision Plans.
• Liaise with clients and agencies to obtain permits and approvals.
• Ensure projects meet specifications and QA/QC standards.
• Coordinate junior engineering team and review deliverables.
• Be main client contact; manage schedule, budget, and reporting.
• Support business development and project portfolio growth.
