Job summary

Voyageur Aviation Corp. in North Bay, ON, seeks a Lead Hand to supervise and perform maintenance on Voyageur and Customer Aircraft within the Structures team. Lead and mentor technicians, AMEs, and ACAs, scheduling tasks and guiding workmanship to high standards.

Responsibilities include ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with manuals, while working in a fast-paced environment. Eligible to work in Canada and able to obtain clear background checks are required.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a valid ACA.
  • Extensive knowledge of aircraft structural repair.
  • Capable of leading a team that could consist of ACA’s, AME’s and/or Technicians.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to identify solutions.
  • Capable of working under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Complete tasks accurately and efficiently with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to the Technicians, AMEs, and ACAs in Structures.
  • Ensure all work is accomplished with efficiency and of high-quality standards.
  • Mentor ACAs, AMEs and Technicians.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with the Maintenance Policy Manual and Procedures Manual – Maintenance.
  • Monitor and maintain the safety and security of personnel and aircraft.
  • Oversee upkeep and security of Company facilities and equipment.
  • Adhere to all of Voyageur’s safety policies and procedures.

Explore your next role:

As a key member of the Structures team, the Lead Hand will report to the Supervisor, Structures, and will be responsible for supervising and performing maintenance on Voyageur and Customer Aircraft.

Your responsibilities:

Location and other Key Details:
  • You will work out of our North Bay head office.
  • This position starts at $39.12/hour+$2.50 Lead hand incentive with compensation commensurate with experience.
