Job summary

Voyageur Aviation Corp. is seeking a qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (ACA) based in Ottawa, Ontario. This full-time, on-site role offers a stable Monday to Friday, daytime schedule, supporting a high-performing maintenance team.

You will perform line maintenance duties, dismantle components, troubleshoot complex systems, and ensure compliance with CARs and company standards. A TC-approved college diploma and AME licence (M1) with 3+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

  • College diploma in Aircraft Maintenance from a TC-approved institution.
  • Valid AME Licence (Category M1) required.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Dismantle airframes, engines, and systems for repair, inspection, overhaul and reassembly.
  • Troubleshoot structural, mechanical, and hydraulic systems and perform repairs.
  • Ensure aircraft compliance with company standards and Transport Canada regulations.
  • Coordinate inspection, maintenance, and repair with Dispatch and Site Manager.

Monday-Friday Day Shift Schedule

Voyageur Aviation Corp. is seeking a qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (ACA) based in Ottawa, Ontario. This position offers a stable Monday to Friday, daytime schedule , providing an excellent work-life balance while contributing to a high-performing maintenance team.

Perform Line Maintenance Duties

  • Dismantle airframes,aircraftengines, and otheraircraftsystems for repair, inspection, overhaul, and reassembly to the highest standards of airworthiness
  • Troubleshoot structural, mechanical, and hydraulic systems;identifyissues and perform repairsin accordance withtechnical manuals and procedures
  • Ensureaircraftaremaintainedin compliance with company standards and Transport Canada regulations
  • Complete all maintenance tasks accurately and on time
  • Independently repair complex defects without direct supervision
  • Carry out and coordinate inspection, maintenance, and repair of companyaircraftand related systems
  • Communicate with Dispatch, Maintenance Manager, and Site Managerregardingaircraftserviceability
  • Troubleshoot advanced system defects (fuel, hydraulics, flight controls, etc.) and perform corrective actions
  • Certify and release maintenance work following auditin accordance withcompany and regulatory requirements

Maintain Aircraft Airworthiness Standards

  • Follow all safety policies and procedures
  • Perform duties with a strong focus on personal, team, and customer safety
  • Attend company-directed training
  • Comply withCanadian Aviation Regulations (CARs)
  • Activelyparticipatein the Safety Management System (SMS), including hazard and incident reporting

Other Duties

  • Plan and perform maintenancein accordance withpublished procedures
  • Complete hangar and office duties such as housekeeping, shipping/receiving, inventory control, and snow removal
  • Keep work areas clean and organized

  • College diploma in Aircraft Maintenance from a Transport Canada approved institution
  • Valid AME Licence (Category M1)-required
