Job summary

Voyageur Aviation Corp. in North Bay, Ontario, is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, Structures for our Heavy Maintenance team. You will perform structural repairs and modifications, ensuring compliance with Transport Canada regulations and Voyageur policies.

Ideal candidates hold a Valid AME License (Category S), a college diploma in Aircraft Maintenance, and 1+ year of AME experience, with strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

  • Valid AME License (Category S).
  • 1+ years of experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.
  • College diploma in Aircraft Maintenance from a Transport Canada approved institution.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to identify solutions.
  • Complete tasks accurately and efficiently with high attention to detail.
  • Capable of working under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and provide a clear Criminal Background Check.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate, repair and restore aircraft structures and related structural components.
  • Ensure maintenance operations comply with legislation, policies and procedures.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot aircraft structure and components; repair per drawings, manuals and procedures.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance as required by manufacturer and Transport Canada.
  • Participate in Voyageur’s Safety Management System and promote safety culture.

Explore your next role:

We are looking for a qualified individual to join the team as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, Structures in our Heavy Maintenance department. As a key member of the Heavy Maintenance team, the Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, Structures will report to Supervisor, Structures and will be responsible for completing structural repairs and modifications.

  • Fabricate, repair and restore aircraft structures and related structural components using Sheetmetal, composite and other unique materials.
  • Ensure that all maintenance operations are conducted in accordance with applicable legislation, company policies and procedures.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot aircraft structure and components to identify defects and adjust/repair the defects according to specifications, technical drawings, manuals, and established procedures.
  • Perform and document scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance as required by the manufacturer, per Voyageur’s policy and Transport Canada.
  • Actively participate in Voyageur’s Safety Management System including report hazards and incidents encountered during daily operations and understand, comply with and promote the Company’s safety culture.

Your Distinctive Ingredients for Success:

  • Valid AME License (Category S).
