Job summary

Sorrento Subway – 1015747 BC LTD in Sorrento, BC is hiring a Food Service Supervisor to oversee daily kitchen and service operations at 1258 Trans-Canada Highway.

This permanent, full-time position offers 35–40 hours per week at CAD 20.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• 1–2 years of experience in food service.

Responsibilities

• Establish methods to meet work schedules
• Requisition food and kitchen supplies
• Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
• Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures
• Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
• Hire food service staff
• Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
• Prepare budget and cost estimates
• Address customers’ complaints or concerns
• Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
• Prepare and submit reports
• Must have knowledge of the establishment’s culinary genres
• Supervise and check assembly of trays
• Establish work schedules
