Job summary

Bison Transport Inc in Saskatoon is seeking a Driver Instructor to oversee yard and terminal operations, coordinate safety, and support driver development. The role includes supervising maintenance, safety initiatives, and coordination with operations to keep the terminal secure and efficient.

The position requires Class 1/AZ driving experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work in varying weather.

Qualifications

• Class 1/AZ driving experience with over-the-road exposure.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, written and verbal.
• Experience with safety procedures and incident reporting.

Responsibilities

• Yard Maintenance, Snow removal, Cleaning, Dragging, Monitoring condition for grading/sanding/snow removal/weed removal.
• Shunt trucks, trailers, and convertors within the yard to maintain proper flow and access.
• Security Monitor and report security fence breaches and ensure repairs are completed in a timely fashion.
• Office/Building Maintenance: Oversee cleaning and organizing; order supplies as required.
• Safety: Safety Committee Chairperson; OHS duties and inspections; supervise accidents and enforce policies.
• Operations/Driver Development: communicate with Saskatoon Manager; road testing of new applicants; driver training.
