Job summary

Bison Transport Saskatoon is seeking a Driver Instructor and Maintenance Coordinator to join the Terminal team. The role focuses on yard upkeep, safety, and driver development, coordinating with operations to ensure efficient, safe runs.

You will supervise maintenance tasks, support new driver training, and liaise with vendors. The position requires Class 1/AZ and strong organizational and communication skills in English.

Qualifications

• Class 1 license required and experience with heavy equipment.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Comfortable in varied weather and manual labor.
• Experience with electrical/HVAC is an asset.
• Must understand and communicate in English.
• Familiarity with PC tools and scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Yard maintenance: snow removal, cleaning, dragging, and monitoring condition.
• Safe movement of shunt trucks and yard access control.
• Security duties: monitor fences, signage, and cameras.
• Office/building upkeep and supply management.
• Safety responsibilities: OHS duties, accidents, and policy enforcement.
• Shop coordination: part shipments, DEF supplies, and vendor liaison.
• Operations/Driver development: coordinate with managers, road tests, driver training.
• Other duties and miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
