Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is building a world-class Custom Silicon team in Toronto. We seek a Design Verification Engineer to own end-to-end verification for sub-systems and chips, focusing on high-speed I/O, cross‑module interactions and system-wide coverage.

You will lead verification plans, mentor peers, and collaborate with design, architecture and software, employing formal, emulation and test‑generation methods to deliver robust solutions for AWS data centers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years design verification using constrained-random techniques such as UVM.
• 8+ years testbench development with stimulus, checkers, assertions and coverage.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement end-to-end verification strategies for system-wide implications and cross-module interactions.
• Drive unified verification plans across multiple environments, tools and methodologies.
• Provide technical leadership for verification efforts, guiding architectural decisions and methodology choices.
• Own the technical direction and drive resolution of complex verification challenges at sub-system and chip level.
• Guide and mentor team members on best practices, methodology improvements, and technical problem-solving.
