Job summary

AMD is seeking a Senior Design Lead in Markham, Ontario, to develop micro-architecture specifications and refine execution methodologies for cutting-edge chip designs. You will collaborate with architecture, verification, and physical design teams, applying standard flows and scripting to automate processes.

You should have a strong foundation in Computer Architecture and Digital Design, with Verilog/SystemVerilog and UVM experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong foundation in digital design and computer architecture.
• Experience with Verilog or SystemVerilog and UVM.
• Strong scripting skills (Perl, Tcl, Python) to automate workflows.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Ability to work across architecture, verification and physical design.

Responsibilities

• Develop micro-architecture specifications and refine execution methodologies for chip designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across architecture, verification and physical design.
• Apply industry-standard tools and flows.
• Automate execution flows using scripting languages.
• Study full chip floorplan and work on Network on Chip concepts.
• Write comprehensive documentation and train others.
• Monitor changes and re-align with project requirements.
• Strike a balance between collaboration and independent solution development.
