Job summary

Qualifications

• Engineering leadership experience (1+ years).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Thermodynamics and Fluid dynamics.
• Experience with designing products for manufacturing at scale.
• Ability to interact effectively with internal and external personnel.
• High level of initiative and positive work ethic.
• Organizational skills with outstanding attention to detail.
• Strong analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of 3D CAD systems and the ability to interpret FEA & CFD results.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage a team of 1-2 engineers and 1-2 CAD designers, overseeing assignment of projects and progress of work.
• Execute assigned engineering launch activities for awarded business, including submittals, design releases, testing, and documentation.
• Lead the change request and deviation process to address manufacturing concerns from conception to implementation.
• Contribute to VA/VE initiatives to reduce product cost and improve manufacturability.
• Address customer field concerns by developing engineered solutions to prevent recurrence.
• Evaluate and design electromechanical products applying mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer and materials.
• Assist manufacturing by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components.
• Support team member development through training initiatives and mentorship.
