Job summary

CoolIT Systems Inc. in Calgary, Alberta is seeking a Facilities & Maintenance Lead to oversee the facilities team and drive preventative maintenance, equipment reliability, and expansion projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will supervise maintenance staff, coordinate external contractors, monitor building systems, manage CMMS, and support on-call operations, with a focus on safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance/manufacturing.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex equipment malfunctions; escalate when needed.
  • Coordinate external contractors for specialized services and facility upgrades.
  • Monitor and maintain building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire suppression.
  • Maintain a CMMS to track work orders, schedules, and equipment history.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Role:

We are seeking a talentedFacilities & Maintenance, Leadto join ourFacilitiesteam. We are looking for someone withsupervisorymanufacturing experience and commitment to preventative maintenance& expansion. This role will report to the Facility Maintenance Manager and will be integral to an efficient manufacturing operation.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the maintenance team in performingday to daypreventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment andongoingproductionexpansionwithfacility systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex equipment malfunctions, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Assistin coordinatingexternal contractors for specialized services, repairs, and facility upgrades.
  • Monitor andmaintainbuilding systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, compressed air, and fire suppression.
  • Maintain a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track& reviewwork orders, maintenance schedules, and equipment history.
  • Support inroot cause analysis (RCA) efforts for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels of critical spare parts and consumables.
  • Develop and deliver training for maintenance staff to build technical skills and ensure safe work practices.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance issues and supporton-call24/7 operations as needed.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-based systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Solid understanding of building infrastructure systems including HVAC, compressed air, water, and electrical distribution.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, manuals, and equipment specifications.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with the ability to quicklyidentifyroot causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate and develop technical staff.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic project management tools
WHO YOU ARE
Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Supervisor Role/Lead Experience.
  • Experience in maintenance, manufacturing.
  • Experience installing,maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing industrial machinery.
  • Experience withRoboticAutomation &PLCs, Control Schematics.
  • Scissor Lift experience.
