Dexterra in Vancouver is seeking a skilled Cook to deliver high‑quality meals and maintain strict food safety and cleanliness standards across the kitchen.

You will work with the team to meet client schedules, adapt to dietary needs, and support inventory control. A minimum of 5 years’ kitchen experience and a clear criminal background check are required.

Job Description

WHAT'S THE JOB?

As a Cook, reporting to the Manager, you will be responsible for the proper and timely preparation of meals including, but not limited to, food service, food safety.

Your work will include:

• Always maintaining a clean kitchen and food storage areas.
• Prepare high quality, nutritious meals (breakfast, lunch) according to the client scheduling and within the menu plan and budget guidelines.
• Be flexible and respond to client needs and food preferences as necessary.
• Adhere to all Occupational Health and Safety regulations and Safe Food Handling.
• Adhere to all relevant Dexterra and procedures.
• Manage inventory.

Qualifications

• A clear criminal background check is required for this role.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience
• A team-player committed to providing client satisfaction
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and stay organized under pressure
• Reliable, punctual and able to manage time effectively
• Comfortable working as a solo cook with support
