Job summary

Adecco is hiring a Lead, contracts Specialist for a full-time opportunity in Sparwood, BC. You will lead strategic sourcing, contract management, and supplier performance to deliver commercial value in a large industrial environment.

The role requires extensive experience in tendering, negotiations, and project procurement, with relocation support provided and a 40-hour week schedule. Immediate start is available.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 to 10 years of experience in Service Contracts with strong expertise in tendering, commercial evaluations, and contract negotiation/formation.
  • Degree, diploma, certification, or professional designation in Supply Chain, Business, Procurement, Commerce, or a related field.
  • SCMP designation (or equivalent) is considered a strong asset.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, contract management, or supply chain roles.
  • Proven experience managing project contracts, competitive bidding processes, and contract execution.
  • Strong commercial acumen and advanced negotiation skills.
  • Experience in mining, industrial construction, engineering, energy, or heavy industry environments.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License (or equivalent).
  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada

Responsibilities

  • Identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across sourcing and procurement.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and governance requirements.
  • Manage contract amendments, renewals, and change requests.
  • Collaborate with project teams and mentor procurement team members.

Job description

Adecco is currently hiring a Lead, contracts Specialist for a full-time opportunity within a large industrial environment in Sparwood, BC (relocation support provided). This role is ideal for experienced procurement and supply chain professionals with expertise in strategic sourcing, contract management, supplier performance, commercial negotiations, and project procurement.

As a key member of the Supply Chain team, you will lead sourcing initiatives from planning through contract execution, while serving as a trusted advisor to operational stakeholders and supplier partners. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys driving commercial value, supplier performance, and continuous improvement.

  • Pay rate: $60- $80/hour

  • Location: Sparwood, BC | Must be local or willing to relocate

  • Schedule:40 hours a week. EDO = 5/2 alternating 4/3. every second Friday off

  • Job type: Temporary1 year with possibility of extension |Full-time
