Job summary

Adecco is seeking a Lead, Contracts Specialist for a full-time role within a large industrial environment in Sparwood, BC. The role involves leading sourcing initiatives and contract execution, advising stakeholders, and driving supplier performance and value.

Ideal candidate has 10+ years in project contract management, strategic sourcing, and procurement, with strong negotiation skills and mining/industrial experience.

Qualifications

  • Degree, diploma, certification, or professional designation in Supply Chain, Business, Procurement, Commerce, or a related field.
  • SCMP designation (or equivalent) is considered a strong asset.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in project contract management, sourcing, procurement, and supply chain roles.
  • Proven experience managing project contracts, competitive bidding processes, and contract execution.
  • Strong commercial acumen and advanced negotiation skills.
  • Experience working within mining, industrial construction, engineering, energy, or heavy industry environments.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License (or equivalent).
  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada

Responsibilities

  • Identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across sourcing and procurement.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and governance requirements.
  • Manage contract amendments, renewals, and change requests.
  • Collaborate with project teams and mentor procurement team members.

Job description

Adecco is currently hiring a Lead, Contracts Specialist for a full-time opportunity within a large industrial environment in Sparwood, BC. This role is ideal for experienced supply chain professionals with expertise in strategic sourcing, project contract management, supplier performance, commercial negotiations, and project procurement.

As a key member of the Supply Chain team, you will lead sourcing initiatives from planning through contract execution, while serving as a trusted advisor to operational stakeholders and supplier partners. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys driving commercial value, supplier performance, and continuous improvement.

  • Location: Sparwood, BC. Accepting candidates from Calgary, those are willing to relocate | Relocation support provided
  • Shift: Monday to Friday | 8 hours per day

Responsibilities:
