Job summary

CarePros is seeking a Lead Community Support Worker (Lead CSW) to support the Program Supervisor in Edmonton. The role focuses on coordinating day-to-day PDD programs, guiding Community Support Workers, and ensuring consistent, person-centered care for adults with complex needs.

The Lead CSW will monitor staff, assist with onboarding, document thoroughly, and help with monthly program reports. A vehicle and Alberta licenses are required, with opportunities for career growth and professional

Qualifications

• Minimum one year verifiable experience working directly with adults with complex behavioural and mental health needs (PDD experience preferred).
• In-depth knowledge of adult mental wellness and home care best practices.
• Flawless execution of documentation requirements for maintaining records and completing forms.
• Unmatched written and verbal communication skills.
• Completion of a post secondary degree or diploma in Community Support Work, Disability Support Work or Social Work (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Help the Program Supervisor with daily coordination of programs, checking routines, staffing needs, and concerns.
• Support day and evening Community Support Workers as needed.
• Provide guidance to staff on daily routines, care plans, and documentation.
• Monitor staff performance and coaching needs; support growth.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new staff.
• Assist with documentation and timely completion.
• Assist with data collection and monthly summaries.
• Update Nurture Calendar with appointments and program info for staff.
• Assist with menu planning and groceries.
• Ensure care plans and routines are followed.
• Assist with incident follow-up and team communication.
