Job summary

CarePros in Grande Prairie is seeking a Senior Lead Child and Youth Care Worker to mentor staff, oversee supervision for youth care, and support program operations in the evenings. The role focuses on safety, documentation, and collaboration with Children’s Services and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• One year verifiable experience working directly with youth that have complex behavioural and mental health needs.
• In-depth knowledge of child and youth care mental wellness, therapeutic crisis intervention (TCI), and home care best practices.
• Flawless documentation skills.
• Unmatched written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and document supervisions for temporary casual CYCWs.
• Manage regular medication management coaching for CYCWs.
• Manage direct report CYCWs' training, skills, and knowledge to ensure compliance with policies and required standards.
• Budget supervision (petty cash management).
• Assist Program Supervisor with emergency scheduling changes.
• Collaborate with admin personnel under Children’s Services and FSCD, and other stakeholders.
