Job summary

AbeBooks, an Amazon company, is reimagining how customers discover the millions of printed works worldwide. As Senior Product Manager - Technical, you will define the strategic vision for onsite search and discovery, shaping how customers search, browse, and engage through recommendations and personalization.

You will own a complex product area, partnering with engineers, designers, and business stakeholders to deliver customer-facing experiences.

Qualifications

Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.
Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product.
Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product.
Experience managing technical products or online services.
Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning.

Responsibilities

Define and own a multi-year roadmap for search and discovery.
Translate customer needs into architecture for search, browse, and personalization.
Establish metrics to drive improvements across the discovery funnel.
Evaluate emerging technologies and assess fit for AbeBooks use cases.
Lead end-to-end development of customer-facing search and discovery experiences.
Mentor other product managers and promote best practices.
