Grass Team Lead

As a Grass Team Leader, you are responsible for running and managing one crew of up to 3 people for day-to-day activities. Our clients trust us to provide quality services and you are key in helping us live out our values every day. A Grass Team Lead is a proactive leader and self-starter who can interact with the public and our employees. As a leader, you must have a strong work ethic and be able to manage time effectively to meet deadlines, as well as have experience in landscaping, previous supervisory experience, and proven communication skills with supervisors, employees, and customers. Depending on qualifications and work performance, there is potential for future opportunities within the company.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of up to 4 people while performing services; motivate, coach, and mentor the team
  • Perform grass maintenance duties, such as mowing, fertilizer application, weed control, aeration, spring clean-up, fall clean-up, trimming, and pruning
  • Operate a variety of mechanical equipment including but not limited to bed edgers, commercial mowers, blowers, dump trailers, chainsaws, line trimmers, and tillers
  • Perform landscape enhancement activities such as mulch application, plantings, topsoil application, and lawn seeding
  • Address clients' questions, comments, and concerns
  • Complete daily paperwork, e.g., vehicle and trailer checklist, work orders, fertilizing sheets, and other required documents
Job Requirements:

  • Current and unrestricted G Driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
  • Background check
  • Two years' experience in this or a related field is required
  • Previous leadership experience
  • Able to work days, weekends, early morning, and early evening
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds to waist level and perform all other physical requirements associated with a position of this nature
Wage: $22-$24 an hour depending on experience.
