Job summary

Fairmont Pacific Rim in Vancouver is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping team member to support uniform management, guest service, and daily hotel operations. You will ensure clean, organized areas and assist in maintaining high standards of service in a luxury setting.

Ideal candidates bring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication. Flexible AM/PM shifts and a team-focused attitude are essential for success at this iconic property.

Qualifications

  • Experience in housekeeping or guest services is an asset.
  • Strong organizational and attention-to-detail abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills required.
  • Able to work with limited supervision.
  • Team-oriented with a customer focus.

Responsibilities

  • Issue and inspect all staff uniforms and dry cleaning.
  • Report worn or damaged uniforms to housekeeping leadership.
  • Assist in uniform inventories.
  • Operate the self-service uniform conveyor and maintain a clean work area.
  • Report maintenance to ensure the uniform area functions at a high standard.
  • Create colleague name tags.
  • Support the lost and found operation.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
  • Uphold top-tier internal and external customer service.
  • Adhere to Health & Safety standards and environmental program.

What you will be doing:
  • Reporting to the housekeeping leadership, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
  • Issue and inspect all staff uniforms and dry cleaning
  • Reporting damaged or worn uniforms to housekeeping leadership
  • Assist in uniform inventories as required
  • Assist in operating the self-service uniform conveyor, take ownership of the space maintaining a clean and presentable working environment
  • Report any necessary maintenance, preventative or otherwise, to ensure the uniform area is functioning to the highest standard.
  • Creating colleague name tags
  • Provide support to the lost and found operation
  • Performs any and all other tasks, which are assigned by management
  • Upholds the highest standard of internal and external customer service at all times
  • Complies with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts policies, procedures and code of ethics
  • To be Health & Safety conscious and actively involved in maintaining a safe work environment
  • Actively participate in The Fairmont Pacific Rim's environmental program and department specific initiatives in working towards sustainable operations
  • Upholds the highest standard of internal and external customer service by demonstrating Fairmont Service Essentials and applying 5 Diamond Service Standards at all times
Your experience and skills include:
  • Previous experience is an asset
  • Previous guest service and/or Housekeeping experience is an asset
  • Proven organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with limited supervision
  • Ability to work flexible schedule, including AM and PM shifts
  • Team oriented
