American Iron & Metal (AIM) seeks a General Labourer for our Montreal-East location. You will participate in receiving, sorting, classification, and shipping of metals while supporting daily site operations.

The role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work in an industrial environment with a strong emphasis on health and safety. A reliable, proactive attitude and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Comfortable standing in an industrial environment.
• Professionalism and safety consciousness.

• Knowledge of metals is an asset.
• Forklift experience is an asset (on-site training provided).

Responsabilités

• Sort and inspect metals by characteristics.
• Identify metal types and assess quality.
• Weigh materials and prepare receiving/shipping tickets.
• Load, move and organize materials.
• Use various tools and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work area per health and safety standards.
• Perform other related tasks to support daily operations.

Job Description

We are currently seeking aGeneral Labourerto join our team inMontreal-East.

The successful candidate will actively participate in the receiving, sorting, classification, and shipping of metals, while contributing to the smooth daily operations of the site.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys fieldwork, varied tasks, and teamwork. We are looking for a reliable, proactive individual who is comfortable working in an industrial environment where health and safety are a top priority.

What you will be responsible for :

• Sorting and inspecting metals based on their characteristics;
• Identifying different types of metals and assessing their quality;
• Weighing materials and preparing receiving and shipping tickets;
• Loading, moving, and organizing materials;
• Using various tools and equipment;
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant work environment in accordance with health and safety standards;
• Performing any other related tasks to support daily operations.

Qualifications
